A brief introduction:The author in Sibiu, Romania.
As a writer, performer and teacher I am focused on the creation and use of story. I have explored women's personal experience narratives in film and print and worked with minority groups in Myanmar and Seattle to investigate identity, belonging and ways to communicate experience in the face of censorship.
For over two decades I've built relationships with Art and Cultural communities in Seattle while working with the Seattle Art Museum, 4Culture, Elliott Bay Book Company, Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association, the IRC and the Northwest African American Museum. I have also contributed to Alaska Airlines Magazine, Shelf Awareness, NW Book Lovers, Asia by the Book and Oregon Quarterly. Using my performance history and teaching experience I provide Storytelling, Public Speaking and Writing Workshops that blend diverse content, group discussion and independent creative work. My training, skills and work experience, both at home and abroad, allow me to offer a diverse portfolio. Contact me to explore how we can work together.
